Maine Space Corporation is Go for Launch

Today Governor Janet Mills signed LD 1923, An Act to Establish the Maine Space Corporation, a public-private partnership to help grow the state’s aerospace industry. Among its charges: Establish the Maine Space Complex. The complex is intended to include at least three business units: 1) a computer center focused on satellite and terrestrial data; 2) an innovation hub for business R&D, academic and scientific inquiry, and K-12 learning; and 3) staging and launch sites that prioritize Maine-based businesses that minimize the environmental effects of their space vehicles and launches.
