Introducing the Maine Space Complex

Terry Shehata, executive director of the Maine Space Grant Consortium, presented “Maine Space Complex: Investing in Talent and Innovation” at E2Tech, the Environmental & Energy Technology Council of Maine.

Shehata said it could take as much as $250 million to complete the renovations and new construction necessary for establishing the complex, a 5-year undertaking. His low-end estimate was $50 million. In 20 years, Shehata said, the Maine Space Complex could support up to 5,500 jobs.
